HENDERSON INFO
To all 2007 Henderson participants.
First off thank you for your teams participation in this the 30th
Annual John Henderson Memorial Tournament. Your team is one of over 200
teams in this years tournament. This tournament will be if not the largest,
one of the largest in our tournament history.
Tournament schedules
are now listed for this years tournament. They are located at www.londonutd.com
, one the main page you will find a "Tournament Headquarters" Link. This
link will take you to the schedules and the downloads for the tournament.
A few notes on a number of items you will find there:
1) Schedule.
With 200 plus teams and somewhat limited numbers of field, keeping
everyone happy is impossible. We have looked at requests for start times,
tried to start teams outside of an hour away later on Saturday morning,
we have separated as best we can club teams, teams in the same leagues
etc and still try to keep some level of rankings. At this point unless
there are glaring errors we will not be making large changes to these
schedules. Having said that, it is the team's responsibility to check
the schedules right up to registration day for changes as things at the
last minute do happen!!
Please also read your schedule for any specific
instruction or conditions associated with your division so that you understand
all playing instruction for the tournament. As some divisions have different
numbers of teams, there are unique conditions associated with a number
of divisions to determine semi finalists.
Short forms on the schedules
for locations are:
LUSC = London United Soccer Complex
NL = North
London Fields
WI = Windermere Fields
SB = Stoneybrooke Field
TE = Ted
Early Fields
2) Roster Forms.
If you have not already submitted
a roster form, you can download one from the site and bring it to registration.
We would ask that even if you have not made a change to your submitted
roster it is a good idea to bring a copy just in case.
3) Game sheets.
One will be required for each game played. Please print off enough
to get you to the finals.
4) Field maps
A map is up on the site.
Please note that when looking for North London or Windermere on the map
North London 4,5 equate to any scheduled games showing NL, and North London
1,2,3 on the map equate to WI on your schedule.
T-Shirt Preorder Form
Over the next few days their will also be a download to order tournament
shirts at this location. We have a new design this year and these shirts
do sell out quickly so preordering is a good idea to avoid disappointment.
Registration.
Registration will be held Friday Night August 31st
6-9, Hilton Hotel Downtown London 300 King St. (Corner of King St. and
Wellington St). A secondary registration will be held at the main soccer
complex at LUSC fields (corner Oxford St and Highbury Ave) Saturday morning
from 7:30 to 10:00).
Checklist for registration:
1) Player books
or cards ( Please arrange your books in order of the submitted roster)
2) Roster
3) Travel permits (if not already submitted)
4) Any trial
permits you may have for guest players
5) Insurance form (s) for our
friend joining us from the US.
Awards:
Awards will be given to:
Finalist and Championship team players
A team trophy will go to the
winning team in the finals
In the finals, a team MVP will be chosen by
the opposing coaches for each team (Up to U14)
Location events during
the weekend.
The main complex will have food concessions, soccer equipment
sales, souvenirs, clothing etc all weekend. Saturday we will host the
Rogers Play Soccer Interactive Display beside field # 8.
North London
will have a food concession, soccer equipment and souvenirs sales.
Windermere
will host the Union Gas big BBQ on Saturday, supporting charity for back
to school equipment for underpriveledged children.
